ETC was founded in 1999 by David Brush and Jim Farley in an effort to provide a venue for the workshop, production, and development of new American musical theater. ETC's inaugural work was also it's creators first - Summer Of My German Soldier: A New Musical. In 6 years, ETC has been honored with numerous local awards as well as having earning a place as a finalist in the Chicago STAGES Festival of New Works. ETC's mission is two-fold: to provide a haven for local artists to safely hone their new material in a professional atmosphere AND to produce new and rarely produced work for our patrons. . Most of all, ETC sets out to challenge its audiences to imagine...explore...and inspire.
